The house is beautiful and the host kind and attentive. We liked the sea view terrace. I will recommend this solution to interested friends

The house was clean, comfortable with lots of activities and games. Before arriving we received tons of information: directions, where to eat, what wine to taste, what beaches to visit, etc. It was very nice! We were warmly greeted when we arrived. It was nice that the staff organized a boat trip when asked. When we said we're coming with two babies we were provided with two cribs! Definitely recommend it.

House is perfect, especially terrace, where we can seat whole group.

Montenegro is very beautiful place, food is very tasty, people here are very open and chilled out :) fortunately weather is getting better so today I hope we will try to swim in the sea.

Thanks again for all your support and effort to make our stay in Montenegro comfortable and stress free.

We would all like to thank you for renting us Villa Tara. It’s a gorgeous place and we enjoyed every minute of our time there.

Thank you too for our welcome gifts. It was such a generous gesture and we really appreciated them. Goran was wonderful and so very patient.

Bigova really is a slice of paradise. We were delighted to have experienced it.

I would like to thank you for sharing the house. We spent a wonderful holiday. Bigova, it was the best choice. Montenegro is beautiful and virgin. And addictive. So I hope that we will be able to come back next year.

Thank you. We had a good arrival. The house is beautiful! And the small town also. Much better than the big touristic coast places...we had a great stay at your place. We are now eating at the restaurant you advised Verige65. Fantastic. Thanks for everything.

Everything is working perfectly, including the wifi. The villa is delightful and your agent was very attentive. Our baby just won't move out of the swinging seat :)

We had a wonderful holiday, swimming everyday before breakfast, and planned our days and filled them well, traveling in every direction. One of our favorite places was Perast and our favourite journey, although scary in places, was the trip to Centinje up the hairpins and down through the Njegsi valley. We are very pleased to have found you villa. Many Thanks.

It is a lovely villa and check in was a breeze, the owners representative met us on arrival and took care of the local tax forms. The villa is exactly as described and well located. I would definitely stay again.

Perfect, Quiet and Central Location. This was the perfect location for our trip. The house was clean with all the amenities needed for our stay. The view from the balcony overlooking the sea was picture perfect. The area was quiet/safe and the swimming area was private and not over crowded. From this location we easily took a short and inexpensive taxi ride to Budva, Tivat (Port of Montenegro), and Kotor. This allowed us to explore the many different seaside cities without having to worry about traffic and parking. The taverns in Bigova had exceptional menus and some of the best fresh seafood we have ever tasted. The owner was extremely responsive to all our needs for information. Don't pass up the opportunity to stay at this Villa! Perfect for families and groups who want a quiet getaway, but still want to see the sights of the cities.

I just wanted to drop you a note to say how much we enjoyed Montenegro and the use of your home. We all had a fantastic time from the moment we got there.

We thought the house was great and although we went to all the beaches- the kids would not let a day go by without a swim at the local rock beach. One of the locals helped my son catch an Octopus whilst he was snorkeling…… he was delighted! Indeed we found all the locals to be very friendly and helpful.

We very much enjoyed the Kotor bay for its beauty and we took a guided kayaking tour around the bay. We had a beautiful day out in Rose and many days in the beach in Lustica. We did also travel down south to Budva, Sveti Stefani and a couple of towns below that again, but I would have to say that as a family destination- in and around Kotor and Lustica is much nicer. Although it was high season it was calm, relatively quiet and we felt very welcome by the Montenegrin people who we found to be very friendly.

We found the house very comfortable and had everything that was needed.

The country is spectacular, the people are lovely and water is beautiful.

We stayed at Villa Tara in June 2009 for a week and a half with our then 8 month old baby. It was a fantastic break and we loved the location of the house being so close to the sea and the sea views from all around the house. The house was very clean, comfortable and well thought out for holiday guests.

We had lovely weather, mid to high 20’s most days but it was easy to escape the harshest heat of the day in the house, which seemed to stay fresh and cool. We only had to turn on the air con one night. We ate out at the local restaurant for lunch about every second day and enjoyed being able to pick what fish we would like from that mornings catch. The food was simple but delicious.

As avid sea swimmers, our favourite thing about this holiday was to be able to just walk down the steps in the evenings to access what felt like our own private swimming area, a ladder off the edge made it easy to get in and out and then to sit and watch the sunset.

We went to Jaz beach a few times which was very enjoyable and also visited Kotor, Bigova, Sveti Stefan, Petrovac and Perast. Our overall impression was that the area was beautiful, unspoilt and relatively less touristic than resorts in France, Italy or Spain and definitely worth a visit!

I had a wonderful 1st week of September 2010 at the "Villa Tara".  The sunshine was generous at around 25C to 28C.  This is typical for Montenegro at this time of year.

"Villa Tara" is spacious.  The views of the surrounding Bigova enchanting.  This villa has a vast terrace.  It is full of citrus trees.  The smell of the ripe fruit is refreshing, as is the light breeze which swept over the terrace every hour of the week we spent there.  The villa itself is crisp, white and spotless.  Not to mention my favourite the dishwasher and the mosquito nets on all of the doors.  I normally get bitten on holidays but "Villa Tara" has that covered too.

A short stroll down the road is the village of Bigova.  There are two restaurants there.  Prices are very reasonable and the food is excellent.  The staff are friendly without being imposing.  I had an extra pound or two to shed when I got home. But it was worth every bite.  The harbour of Bigova is charming and there is a small beach there.

If you like the beach a short 20 min. drive will give you a choice of three Plavi Horizonti, Jaz or Becici beach.  All three beaches were not brimming with beach babes, just normal people enjoying the sunshine.  Beds and umbrellas for hire on the beach are in plentiful supply.  The water is warm and it enticed me for a second and third swim the day I was there.

For those of you who love architecture and history (my nearest and dearest) the old towns of Kotor, Budva, Herzog Novi enthralled him.  In short "Villa Tara" is a spot you cannot afford to miss.  We booked it again for 2011 the week we returned home in 2010.

I have visited Villa Tara several times in the pretty seaside village of Bigova, with its beautiful clean seawater and stunning views and intend to go back again soon. The small harbor is very quaint and picturesque as the sun sets in the evening, where you can sit at the local tavern chatting with locals or your friends while watching the sun go down over the mountains and sea. During the day, it is easy to walk around to visit local restaurants and lazily sit under the sun, on the veranda overlooking the sea, watching the yachts come and go. The house has 4 bedrooms, of which I have slept in 3 different ones! The bedrooms at the front of the house have terraces where you can sit under the evening sun, or in the morning. Several mornings I have gotten up early and sat on the terrace with my paints painting the beautiful views.

Arriving in Dubrovnik, and taking the scenic road trip to the mouth of the Fiord at Kamenari (beyond Herzog Novi), and then taking the ferry across to the other side, gives you a real appreciation for the depth and width of the fiord and the beautiful islands and mountains. It is idyllic looking at small islands with churches in the distance, and has an unspoiled old world view. Visiting the old town of Kotor gives a more steep view up the hills - of the size of the mountains - and when they are lit up at night it is quite a view. If you like fresh fruit and vegetables, they are available in abundance and you can barter at the side of the road with sellers at their stalls. Budva is ideal for shopping and nightlife with great restaurants and small shops.  During the day I have travelled several times to the beaches at Budva, Sveti Stefan, Plavi Horizonti and Jaz, all within 30 minutes drive of Bigova.  All in all I would highly recommend coming to stay, and relaxing and enjoying an unspoiled part of the Adriatic, where the people are very friendly and welcoming of tourists.

We had a wonderful holiday. Villa Tara was perfect. It was very clean and so well equipped to meet all our needs. The house was so cool all the time and although it had air conditioning we hardly needed to use it. The children enjoyed relaxing in the house watching their DVDs when it was too hot outside. We appreciated the use of the beach towels and bathing shoes.

The location was perfect and ideal for relaxing and exploring the surrounding area. We travelled around a lot, visiting the beaches and towns and even went rafting on the Tara River- that was the highlight of the holiday for us! Montenegro is a beautiful country and the scenery is fabulous. All the information you provided was really helpful and we were delighted with the excellent service. Thanks again for all your help.
